About helen
I studied sculpture, drawing and painting in Wales, before returning home to Derbyshire, where I finished my BA(hon’s) in 2009 and set up as a ceramic sculptor, showing and selling my work through galleries, art and ceramic fairs as well as local art festivals, to private clients and collectors alike.
Circumstances meant that I haven’t always been able to produce ceramics, but this has lead me to explore my creativity through the medium of painting. I now enjoy expressing my love of nature and the natural environment through both mediums.
Exploring form and space, as well as feelings and memories connected to and affected by the landscape and the elements.
My paintings are mostly semi abstract, although I do produce occasional observational studies.
